Preamble to meeting

Meeting: Thursday 5 December 7pm
All welcome and it's free!
From mills to moors:
Connections between Salts Mill and the
Yorkshire Dales

YOU ARE INVITED to the Club’s next quarterly meeting which will take place from 7-9pm on Thursday 5 December 2019 at Shipley College’s Learning Resource Centre in the Exhibition Building, Exhibition Road, Saltaire BD18 3JW.

We’ll be hearing from Jamie Roberts, the great-great grandson of Sir James Roberts, the most important figure in the history of Salts Mill and Saltaire after Titus Salt. Jamie is Managing Partner at Kilnsey Park Estate so it’s no surprise that his talk is entitled: "From mills to moors: Connections between Salts Mill and the Yorkshire Dales".  All welcome – and as usual, it’s FREE.

View the poster on the Saltaire Village website.

REFRESHMENTS will be available for a small charge. They will be followed by some snacks of a different type...

SALTAIRE SNACKS - we'll be featuring some updates from local researchers on their latest findings. We're hoping this will include some discoveries on emigration from Saltaire in Victorian times, and some revelations on what was found lurking in the rarely-seen basement and sub-basement of Salts Mill.

And if you're looking for some stocking fillers, our friends from the Saltaire Collection will have a range of small gifts for sale, at reasonable prices, and all with a theme of the history of Saltaire.

Seasons greetings
