ARCHITECTS ON SHORTLIST
The stunning four storey Atrium at the University of Bradford, designed by Saltaire based chartered architects Rance Booth & Smith, has been short listed in the Design & Innovation category of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Pro Yorkshire Awards, the winners of which will be announced at an awards ceremony and gala dinner in Leeds on May 27th. The building has already been used for functions, including the university’s fortieth anniversary celebrations. The architecture has been described as simple, elegant and crisp and the ‘building experience’ as one of clarity and simplicity while maintaining a sense of surprise and excitement.
