BUSY TIME FOR TRAMWAY

Clive Woods anticipates a busy summer aheas for Shipley Glen Tramway. A new cable is to be fitted at a cost of £4,335.61 and the bottom platforms and path are to have an anti-skid surface, at a further £2,467.50. In addition, repair work is to be carried out on the Shop and Museum, including the replacement of rotton wood and painting.

ROAD RUN

To help pay for this, on Sunday 4 June, there is to be a Heritage Vehicle Road Run from Ilkley via Keighley to the Coach Road, followed by a display and stalls on the field by the Glen Tramway Museum. "We look forward to your support," says Clive.
