MAYOR SEES AND HEARS THE STORY

Saturday, September 30th 2006: The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Choudhary Rangzeb, gave a short speech expressing compliments and encouragement to the organisers of the Methodist Art Exhibition Seeing the Story when he and Lady Mayoress Mrs Zahida Rangzeb added a concert by the Aire Valley Singers, in the United Reformed Church, to the list of associated events which they have attended. The concert, entitled Singing With Passion, followed a programme carefully selected to be accompanied by digital projections of some of the paintings which are on show at Saltaire Methodist Church until October 22nd.

Remaining events this month include:
5th - John Froud Singing Stories; 9th  - Visual Bible study; 16th  - Stories, poems and music under the heading Through the Eyes of the Oppressed; all at the Methodist church at 7.30pm.

Elsewhere, Christian drama group 'The Wayfarers' present Responding to Suffering at St. Paul's Shipley on 14th (7.30pm) and the whole Seeing the Story series reaches a Grand Finale in Celebrating Stories at Victoria Hall on October 22nd (6-7.30pm).
