Local historian and author, Colin Coates, will talk about Saltaire 100 years ago and what Christmas was like in WW1. The renowned author, singer-songwriter, Eddie Lawler, will talk about a few well known songs which the audience will sing along to.

Colin Coates' research includes WW1: The Saltaire Story. Colin has also co-authored a book with local researcher, Maggie Smith: " Salt's Mill: The Owners and Managers 1853 to 1986" due to be published in November.

Eddie Lawler, aka “The Bard of Saltaire” writes musicals, poems and plays. Eddie has a new (local) song out now: "Saltaire'll Do" - click for a listen!
