Dear Sir/Madam

Planning Application

Construction of Archimedes screw hydropower scheme and associated fish passes at Salts Mill weir at Salts Mill Weir Downstream Of Footbridge/Roberts Park Victoria Road/Higher Coach Road Saltaire Shipley West Yorkshire

I write to let you know that the above planning application is to be discussed at the next meeting of the  Keighley and Shipley Area Planning Panel to be held on 29 April 2015 at Shipley Town Hall Shipley at 10.00am.  Please note that this application is one of a number to be considered by the Panel at this meeting.  Although the Panel will endeavour to deal with all the applications where interested parties are in attendance before lunch you should be aware that, on occasions, this is not possible.

You are welcome to attend the meeting.  Attached is a leaflet outlining the public speaking arrangements and what will happen at the meeting.  If you have received this letter via email, to view the leaflet go to and click on “How Planning decisions are made”.

The agenda is published five working days before the meeting and is normally available to view on the Council’s website soon after at and click on the relevant Planning Panel under the "Planning" Section, or at Jacobs Well.

Any representations and consultation responses received in relation to the current application are available to view on the Council’s online planning system at and click on “View Planning Applications”.

If you require any further details about how the Panel is organised, or if you intend being present at the meeting and wish to register to speak, please contact Sheila Farnhill on 01274 432268.  However, if you have any queries about the application itself please contact me on the above number.

Yours faithfully

Mark Hutchinson
Senior Planning Officer
