Saltaire World Heritage weekend, 2015

A day to share skills

Are you a knitter, or into other textile crafts? Do you repair your bicycle? Have you self-published a book?

Skills of various kinds and uses of technology in daily life will be one focus of the 18th April conversazione at Victoria Hall, Saltaire. People who can spare some time are invited to come along - sit with others and do a bit of knitting, explain how you self-published, or learned to repair your bike... other skills/experiences also welcome.

Please contact 01274 593585 / 07932 146882 or

The day is for all ages and free entry from 10am to 4pm - come and enjoy displays of innovation from floristry to household air quality monitors to the inner workings of the Wurlitzer organ.

Not a market or an exhibition (nothing for sale except in the café run by the Travelling Tea Ladies) – it’s a day for people to learn in a relaxed way - what World Heritage Weekend is all about. An Evening's Entertainment follows in the main hall, tickets £14.50. There will be free outdoor activities on Sunday19th in Roberts Park and along the towpath.
