The Fabulous Christmas Quiz
(and mince pies - tra la la la la, la la la la)

NOTE THE VENUE:
Shipley College, Victoria Road
(opposite Victoria Hall) 7 – 9 pm.
ALL WELCOME - and it's FREE!

Dear Friends,

Greetings, & firstly a very warm welcome to those new Members of the Club who have signed up recently – it’s good to have you join us.

The next meeting of our Club is scheduled for Thursday 1 Dec, the venue being Shipley College, Victoria Road (opposite Victoria Hall). Post code for Sat Navs is BD18 3LQ. As usual the meeting will be held 7 – 9 pm. Entry, as always, is free.

We have a really good programme lined up. The meeting features a talk on a subject new to the Club, but one close to most hearts – “Bradford’s Pioneering Women”. The speaker is Helen Broadhead. Helen until recently worked in a professional capacity at Bradford Council’s Local Studies Service, so we are guaranteed a well-informed account of the Votes for Women events that were taking place a century ago.

In addition to Helen’s presentation there is our now traditional Christmas Quiz and refreshments.

We look forward to a full turn out, but before signing off, can I mention a couple of misunderstandings about events & dates. Firstly you may have seen in the last couple of days an announcement of our meeting in the local press (T & A), giving a different date for our meeting to that above, I confirm that our meeting is on 1st Dec.

The second misunderstanding is about a late night opening of the Mill on 8th Dec (which notification was carried in my email to Members on 18 Oct). In fact, there is no late night opening of the Mill on 8th Dec, & I apologise to anyone inconvenienced by my earlier email.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 1st,

Best wishes
Dave (Shaw)
